Job summary

Cox Automotive Inc. is seeking an automotive detailing associate to thoroughly clean and prep vehicles for auction. The role requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and willingness to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.

You will remove debris, wash and buff surfaces, and ensure the interior and exterior are showroom-ready. This entry-level position offers hands-on training and daily involvement in vehicle staging and quality control.

Qualifications

• Less than 2 years of related field experience.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Able to stoop, bend, kneel, squat and lean for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior and remove debris from ashtrays, consoles, dashboards, seats, doors and trunk area.
• Remove license plates and window markings not related to the auction business; disassemble spare tires in the trunk.
• Wash vehicles with high-pressure washer or car wash; clean engine compartment and battery terminals.
• Detail vehicles by cleaning and dressing trim, molding and interior/exterior surfaces.
• Buff and polish exterior surfaces and wheels using appropriate equipment.
• Vacuum interior and shampoo carpets; straighten seatbelts.
• Ensure glove box contents and warranty materials are intact after cleaning.
• Demonstrate safety commitment and participate in safety activities as directed.
• Drive vehicles to staging areas and assist with sale day driving when required.
