Job summary

Fox Automotive in Rochester Hills is seeking an Automotive Dealership Controller to oversee accounting and financial reporting for our multiple brand operations across two locations.

Working directly with ownership and General Managers, the Controller will lead the accounting team, manage the month-end close, oversee cash flow, and maintain accurate financial statements and clean accounting schedules. The right person will bring structure to the office while helping the team develop.

Qualifications

• Five or more years in automotive dealership accounting.
• Two+ years in a Controller/Assistant Controller role.
• Strong understanding of dealership schedules, floorplan, and intercompany transactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations across two locations.
• Complete month-end close and prepare manufacturer financial statements on deadlines.
• Manage cash flow, reconciliations, floorplan accounting, and intercompany balances.
• Review schedules (contracts in transit, inventory, receivables, payables, warranties).
• Maintain internal controls and train staff.
