Job summary

ACV Auctions seeks an enthusiastic Inspector with a passion for cars to join our growing team. Inspectors visit dealerships and auctions, identify damage and mechanical issues, and document vehicle conditions with detailed reports and cost estimates.

You will travel to various sites, capture high-quality photos, and help the sales team by highlighting opportunities to upsell services. Strong communication and reliability are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in the automobile field with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle required.
• Willingness to work outdoors and travel to dealerships/auctions.

Responsibilities

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Partnering with a Territory Manager and Inspectors, conducts inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage, missing parts and mechanical problems.
• Prepare and submit a report of vehicle condition, repair/replacement cost estimates, and related documentation.
• Help sales team up-sell or cross-sell services and products.
• Interface regularly with dealers to develop and ensure client satisfaction and build strong relationships.
• Travel to and from dealerships and homes to inspect, and write condition reports, list vehicles to sell on the auction platform.
• Take multiple photos and download them to the image server using the company issued smart phone.
• List inspected wholesale vehicles utilizing ACV Auctions platform for bidding and purchasing.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers to utilize the platform.
