Job summary

Allcat Claims Service in Chandler, AZ is seeking an Office-based Auto/Property Claims Adjuster to handle claims via phone/email, investigate, evaluate coverage, negotiate settlements and document decisions.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED, an active Insurance Adjuster's license or ability to obtain one, 1 year of customer contact experience, and proficiency with MS Office. This is a day-shift, in-office position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Insurance Adjuster's license required; licensing exam within allowed attempts.
• 1 year of customer contact experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to learn new technologies and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Provides claims service via internal channels to policyholders on behalf of clients.
• Adjusts simple to moderately complex Auto claims.
• Identifies, confirms, and makes coverage decisions on claims.
• Investigates loss details, evaluates, negotiates, and resolves claims within authority.
• Documents thought process, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement decisions.
• Prioritizes and manages assigned claims workload with timely updates.
• Collaborates and supports team members to resolve issues and escalate when needed.
• Acquires knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance products and claim handling processes.
• Maintains discretion in business relationships and sound business judgement.
• Supports workload surges and Catastrophe operations as needed.

Description

• Provides claims service via internal channels (phone/fax/email/mail) to policy holders on behalf of clients.
• Adjusts simple to moderately complex Auto claims.
• Identify, confirm, and make coverage decisions on claims.
• Investigate loss details, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve claims within appropriate authority guidelines.
• Clearly document thought process, investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and settlement decisions.
• Prioritize and manage assigned claims workload to keep policyholders and other involved parties informed and provide timely claims status updates.
• Collaborate and support team members to resolve issues and identify appropriate matters for escalation.
• Acquires and applies basic knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance industry products, services, and processes to include P&C insurance policy contracts and coverages and the claim handling process and procedures.
• Ability to maintain discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgement.
• Supports workload surges and/or Catastrophe operations as needed

Job Requirements

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High School Diploma or GED
• This position will require an Insurance Adjuster's license. You must pass a licensing exam within a designated number of attempts and can become licensed in all applicable states.
• 1 year of customer contact experience.
• Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and easily acclimates to changes in process/systems for overall improvement of the organization.
• Must be accurate and detail oriented.
• Ability to learn new technologies.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

• Current Casualty Adjuster License
• 1+ years of claims investigation, adjusting and resolution.
• 2+ years of customer service experience
• Working knowledge and understanding of the auto claims contract as well as application of case law, state laws and regulations.

Training Requirements

Employees attending training are expected to meet Allcat's established standards for performance, attendance, and conduct. Successful completion of all required training programs is mandatory.
