Job summary

Allcat Claims Service, LLC is seeking an on-site Property Claims Adjuster to evaluate and settle moderately to highly complex property claims at our San Antonio, TX location. You will confirm coverage, determine liability, and ensure adherence to carrier guidelines and state regulations.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of property claims adjusting, an adjuster license (or ability to obtain one), and strong customer service and computer skills.

Qualifications

• License required or ability to obtain an adjuster license.
• 2 years property claims adjusting experience, including dwelling claims.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Adjust moderately to highly complex property claims and assess coverage.
• Manage claims with high dollar value and ALE complexities.
• Handle escalations, DOI complaints and attorney representations as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve claims efficiently.
• Support overtime during catastrophe events and high workload periods.

Reviews, evaluates and adjusts moderately complex to complex property claims. Confirms coverage and equitably settles claims in accordance with carrier guidelines and in compliance with all state regulatory requirements. Escalates problems to resolve any coverage issues or damage disputes.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Adjusts moderately complex to highly complex property claims. These claims include structure damage involving moderate to high dollar value and severity, personal property claims involving moderate to high value, and Additional Living Expense (ALE) claims involving moderate to high dollar value.Handles customer escalations, DOI complaints and claims with public adjuster or attorney representation.Contributes to business goals, performance metrics, and effectively uses tools & technology.Supports workload surges and/or catastrophe operations as needed to include working significant overtime during designated catastrophe events.Applies advanced knowledge of Property & Casualty insurance industry products, services, and processes to include P&C insurance policy contracts and coverage's and how they affect the status of the claim.Serves as a resource to less experienced team members on escalated issues of a complex nature.Partners with internal resources to facilitate claims resolution.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or GED.Current adjusters license or ability to obtain an adjuster license2 years property claims adjusting experience to include dwelling claimsAdvanced property construction knowledgeComputer literate in a Windows operating environment.Strong customer service, communication, organizational skills.Ability to work with routine and/or repetitive activities but also be responsive to disruption and change,Enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and easily acclimates to changes in process/systems for overall improvement of the organization.Must be accurate and detail-oriented.Ability to learn new technologies.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.Suitable at home work space to allow for customer contact.PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:3+ years of experience handling non-CAT property claims from the desk.2+ years property claims experience handling water claims, including water mitigation.Working knowledge of Symbility and Claims Connect.Working knowledge of Guidewire-based claims management systems.College degree and/or industry designations such as CPCU, AIC, SCLA.Job Type: Full-timeBenefits:Dental insurance401KEmployee assistance programEmployee discountFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offPaid HolidaysProfessional development assistanceReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:40 hour work weekMonday to FridaWork Location: San Antonio, TX#allcatclaims
