Job summary

Schomp Automotive Group in Denver is seeking an organized Accounting Specialist to accurately post vehicle gross, commissions, and We Owe on every car deal. You will verify finance product costs and ensure down payments are collected before closing.

You will prepare 8300 forms for cash over 10,000, clean inventory and schedules, and collaborate with General/Sales Managers to ensure correct month-end reconciliation and accurate trades.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good with numbers and figures, with an analytical acumen.
• Strong understanding of debit and credit accounting principles.
• Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Bench) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Post vehicle gross, commissions, and We Owe on each car deal.
• Verify that the cost of all finance products are accurate and adjust prior to finalizing the car deal.
• Ensure all down payments are collected prior to finalizing the car deal; ensure an 8300 for cash over $10,000 is complete and submitted.
• Clean inventory, We Owe schedules and dealership finance product schedules; resolve aged We Owes over 90 days and issue refunds as needed.
• Collaborate with General/Sales Managers to review cost of sales adjustments for accurate month-end reconciliation.
• Confirm vehicle counts and gross are accurate; review rebates and aging.
• Finalize all dealer trades and wholesales daily; review wholesale gains/loss with GM.
• Perform monthly reconciliation of inventory and monthly floor plan statements.
