Herzog-Meier Auto Center in Beaverton, OR is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our busy automotive dealership's accounting team. This full-time, on-site role requires careful handling of vendor invoicing, reconciliations, and AR processing to support multiple departments.

The ideal candidate will have AP/AR experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume environment while maintaining confidentiality and accuracy.

Qualifications

• AP and AR accounting experience
• Experience with dealership accounting systems is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to reconcile accounts and research discrepancies

Responsibilities

• Process and code vendor invoices
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
• Process vendor payments and maintain accurate vendor accounts
• Post and reconcile accounts receivable payments
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables
• Assist with daily deposits and cash/credit card reconciliation
• Reconcile assigned accounting schedules and clearing accounts
• Research aged, unusual, or out-of-balance items
• Assist with month-end accounting and closing responsibilities
• Work with Sales, Service, Parts, and other departments to resolve accounting issues
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow established internal controls
