Hoffman Auto Group’s Burlington Hyundai location in Burlington, VT is seeking an accounting support role to assist the accounting team with daily responsibilities and overflow. The role focuses on DMV paperwork, lien payoffs, reconciliations, and standard accounting tasks.

You will work under the guidance of management, ensuring accuracy, timely processing, and adherence to Privacy Act policies while maintaining professional work ethics and reliable attendance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Basic bookkeeping with Excel knowledge.
• Must be flexible, highly organized, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Regular on-time attendance is an essential function of this position to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit DMV paperwork in accordance with DMV rules and regulations on a timely basis.
• Assist with deal breakdown process as necessary. Prepare contracts to be sent to finance sources. Prepare copies of all necessary DMV paperwork for car deal and finance source. Submit contracts to OM for signature.
• Assist in Lien payoffs. Reconcile schedule.
• Process daily accounting reports to include on-line motor vehicle. Reconcile the DMV registration schedule. Process DMV customer refunds with Manager's approval.
• Follow-up on missing used vehicle titles.
• Prepare quarterly audits of K-208, used titles, certificate of origins, and dealer plates.
• Reconciling G/L balances and schedules to include vehicle receivables, dmv, & lien payoffs.
• Miscellaneous accounting tasks as directed by management.
• Ensure all policies and procedures are followed as designated by the Hoffman Auto Group Privacy Act Policy.
