Job summary

Tooele Motor Company in Tooele, Utah seeks a dependable Accounting Clerk to join our growing dealership team. You will handle accounts payable/receivable, maintain accurate records, and support multiple departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

The ideal candidate has experience in accounting or automotive dealership admin, with strong Excel, attention to detail, and organizational skills. This is a full-time role with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Preferred background in accounting, bookkeeping, or automotive dealership admin.
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable and general accounting principles is a plus.
• Familiarity with dealership software is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Post vehicle deals and maintain accurate dealership financial records.
• Prepare and reconcile daily deposits and cash receipts.
• Process invoices and vendor payments.
• Assist with title paperwork and deal documentation as needed.
• Reconcile bank statements, schedules, and dealership accounts.
• Maintain organized accounting files and financial records.
• Assist with month-end closing activities.
• Respond to internal accounting and administrative requests.
• Work with sales, service, parts, and management to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Perform general office and administrative duties.

Tooele Motor Company is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our growing dealership team in Tooele, Utah.

As an Accounting Clerk, you’ll help ensure the financial operations of the dealership run smoothly by maintaining accurate records, processing transactions, and supporting multiple departments throughout the organization.

Qualifications

• Previous accounting, bookkeeping, office administration, or automotive dealership experience preferred
• Automotive dealership accounting experience is a plus
• Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting principles
• Experience with dealership management systems (Dealertrack, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Tekion, or similar) is a plus
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines
• High level of integrity and professionalism
