Job summary

Kocourek Automotive is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support the Director of Accounting and Accounting Manager. The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and timely financial reporting in a fast-paced dealership environment.

You will work with general ledger functions, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end tasks while maintaining thorough documentation and delivering reliable reports to management.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accounting records for general ledger, AP, AR, fixed assets, and cash reimbursements.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and reconciliations.
• Help prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Review contracts in transit and receivable schedules for accuracy.
• Compile daily, weekly, and monthly management reports.
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
• Provide additional administrative and accounting support as needed.
