Job summary

Kocourek Automotive is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join the Accounting Department. This position provides support to the Director of Accounting and Accounting Manager, helping maintain accurate records and support daily operations.

The ideal candidate is dependable, analytical, and organized, able to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with staff and management at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accounting records for general ledger, A/P, A/R, fixed assets, cash reimbursements, and related functions.
• Assist with month-end closing activities and reconciliations.
• Support preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
• Review contracts in transit and wholesale receivable schedules for accuracy and timely collection.
• Compile daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management and dealership leadership.
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
• Provide additional administrative and accounting support as assigned.
