Job summary

Kocourek Automotive is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join the Accounting Department. You will support the Director of Accounting and Accounting Manager, maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with daily accounting operations.

The ideal candidate is dependable, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and deadlines. This full-time role offers standard office hours and growth opportunities within the dealership.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
• Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees and management at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accounting records related to the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, cash reimbursements, and other accounting functions.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, ensuring all transactions are accurately posted and schedules and reconciliations are completed and submitted for review.
• Support the preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Perform daily bank reconciliations and assist with cash flow monitoring.
• Review contracts in transit and other receivable schedules to ensure accuracy and timely collection.
• Compile and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management and dealership leadership.
• Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
• Provide additional administrative and accounting support as assigned.
