Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a Test Engineer to join the SLBM team at NSWCDD in Dahlgren, VA. This full-time, on-site position focuses on designing and maintaining automated test scripts, writing detailed test plans, and executing manual and automated tests in collaboration with developers and government customers.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of software/systems testing experience, strong automation and Linux skills, and excellent communication for daily customer interactions. U.S.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software/systems testing experience or equivalent education.
• Experience running or writing automation scripts or code.
• Comfortable reviewing C++ code and testing in Linux environments.
• Proven ability to link requirements to test cases and manage artifacts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to present to customers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks.
• Write detailed test plans, descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements.
• Execute manual and automated testing (static, dynamic, integration, system).
• Perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools.
• Identify and track defects; collaborate with developers for rapid resolution.
• Review peers’ test documentation and participate in Agile activities.
• Interface professionally with government customers daily; occasional presentations.
