Job summary
MISTRAS Group, Inc. in New Kensington, PA is seeking an experienced Electrical/Controls Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and calibrate PLC‑based control systems and related equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance on pumps, compressors, and drivers to keep operations running safely and efficiently.
The role requires follow‑through on safety and environmental requirements, documentation, and capacity to supervise external contractors when needed.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in a technical field required.
- Understand and operate electrical test instruments.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical blueprints.
- Experience with electrical measurement instruments.
- Able to estimate installation and maintenance costs.
- Proficient with MS Office and strong self‑management.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and inspect electrical and control systems.
- Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, compressors, and drivers.
- Inspect and maintain control systems and I&M checks.
- Oversee third‑party contractor work and safety practices.
- Ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Document tasks and report on progress.
