Job summary

Chobani is seeking an Automation Technician in Idaho to troubleshoot electrical systems, diagnose issues, and implement timely, vetted solutions. You will collaborate with internal teams and external resources to support automation projects and safety/compliance standards.

A strong candidate has PLC/HMI experience, documentation skills, and the ability to train others while maintaining accurate records and best practices across the facility.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in controls/automation or related preferred.
• 3-5 years of electrical, PLC and instrumentation experience in an industrial facility.
• Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and programming focused on Allen Bradley PLC.
• General knowledge of HMI systems focused on Rockwell FactoryTalk View ME/SE or Inductive Automation Ignition.
• Broad knowledge of automation and electrical devices.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems.
• Identify root cause by observing mechanical systems, listening for problems and using measuring/testing tools.
• Provide maintenance break/fix support for automation issues and work with Automation Engineers on repairs.
• Serve as automation and controls domain expert on local project teams and deliver training as needed.
• Provide high-level technical support for complex automation/electrical issues.
• Redline automation programs and documentation including PLCs, HMIs, drawings, P&IDs, and sequences of operations.
