Job summary

Chobani is seeking an Automation Technician to troubleshoot and repair electrical and automation systems within its New York facility. You will work with Automation Engineers, provide in-house support, and share knowledge with team members.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years PLC/instrumentation experience, especially with Allen-Bradley PLCs, Rockwell FT View/Inductive Ignition HMIs, and a solid foundation in electrical diagrams. This role emphasizes safety, GMP practices, and documentation.

Qualifications

Associates degree preferred in controls/automation.
3–5 years electrical, PLC and instrumentation experience in an industrial facility.
Troubleshooting and programming with Allen Bradley PLCs.
Knowledge of HMI systems Rockwell FT View ME/SE or Ignition.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems.
Identify root cause by observing mechanical systems and using testing instruments.
Provide maintenance break/fix support for automation issues with engineers.
Deliver training to operations and other groups as needed.
Serve as automation and controls domain expert on project teams.
Redline automation programs, drawings, and documentation.
Assist with developing and championing programs and projects.
Share best practices within the facility and organization.
Follow safety and GMP procedures.
