Job summary

Chobani is seeking an Automation Technician to diagnose and repair electrical and control systems in our New York facility. You will work with Automation Engineers, provide on-site support, and train operations teams while following safety and GMP procedures.

Strong hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and FactoryTalk View or Ignition is required, along with ability to read diagrams, document changes, and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in controls/automation preferred.
• 3–5 years electrical, PLC and instrumentation experience in an industrial facility.
• Proficient in Allen-Bradley PLC troubleshooting and programming.
• Knowledge of HMI systems including FactoryTalk View ME/SE or Ignition.
• Read electrical diagrams, P&IDs and instrument diagrams; good documentation.
• Capable of training others and transferring knowledge.
• Collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems.
• Identify root cause by observing mechanical systems; use testing instruments.
• Provide maintenance break/fix support for automation issues with engineers.
• Serve as automation and controls expert on local project teams and train staff.
• Redline automation programs and documentation (PLC, HMI, drawings, P&IDs).
• Share knowledge and promote best practices across the organization.
• Follow safety and GMP procedures.
