Job summary
Chobani is seeking an Automation Technician to assess technical problems across the facility and implement vetted solutions quickly. You will be a motivated, customer-focused trouble-shooter, providing outstanding in-house support and collaborating with internal teams and external resources.
Key responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing and repairing electrical systems, identifying root causes, and working with Automation Engineers on repairs and improvements.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in controls/automation or related preferred.
- 3–5 years of electrical, PLC, and instrumentation experience working in an industrial facility.
- Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and Allen-Bradley programming.
- Knowledge of HMI systems: Rockwell FT View ME/SE or Ignition.
- Strong teamwork and ability to train others.
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and P&IDs.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems.
- Identify root cause by observing mechanical systems and testing.
- Provide maintenance break/fix support for automation issues with engineers.
- Deliver training to operations and other groups as needed.
- Redline automation programs and documentation (PLC, HMI, drawings).
- Share best practices and assist with programs and projects.
