Job summary

First Solar is seeking an entry-level Automation Technician to support manufacturing operations, startup, PLC/HMI programming, and maintenance of control systems. You will work on AM or PM shifts on a rotating 36/48 hour schedule, with every other Friday-Sunday work.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, electrical drawing interpretation, and instrumenting with Rockwell/AutoCAD skills. Preferred candidates hold an Electrical/Robotics/Industrial Controls degree, but five+ years of related

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of manufacturing equipment electrical/electronic/controls experience.
Associate/Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Robotics, Industrial Controls, or Electronic Engineering preferred; no degree with 5+ years experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

Support manufacturing facilities and remote sites with electrical control system troubleshooting.
Assist with equipment installation/startup and MES integration events.
Maintain and update electrical drawings for process tools and equipment changes.
Implement software changes as directed by Controls Engineering.
Interface with multiple departments to resolve control problems and drive improvements.
Maintain safety and housekeeping standards while collaborating with teams.
