Shaw Industries Ltd is seeking an Automation Technician for the 2nd shift in Port Wentworth, GA. The role focuses on maintaining safe work practices and delivering precise automation work, including mentoring Reliability Electricians.

The position requires strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and proactive maintenance planning within a manufacturing environment. The 2nd shift runs 3PM-11PM, with pay at $40.57 per hour.

Qualifications

• Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics/prints.
• Experience with PLCs, robotics, and automation equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-diagnosis skills.
• Commitment to safety practices and continuous improvement.

Responsabilités

• Maintain manufacturing process and support equipment to high performance, including electrical systems (MCCs, inverters, motors).
• Troubleshoot and lead repairs for safety, quality, downtime issues.
• Develop proactive maintenance plans and PM/CM activities.
• Mentor junior electricians in reliability concepts and best practices.
