Job summary

Hy-Tek Intralogistics seeks an Automation Support Engineer in Glenview, IL to maximize customer satisfaction through field service operations and remote troubleshooting. You will provide on-site assistance for mechanical, electrical, and programming issues, and contribute to the innovation lab when not onsite.

You will work with AMR, G2P, and P2G systems, perform maintenance, and ensure safety compliance while collaborating with the development team on testing and new solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of mechanical, electrical and/or programming experience with automation preferred.
• Demonstrate a high degree of communication and organizational skills to solve problems.
• Ability to analyze and interpret mechanical, electrical and/or programming information in service manuals.
• Ability to effectively use hand and power tools.
• Proficient knowledge of AMR, G2P, P2G or other automation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Present a professional image to customers and vendors.
• Perform system troubleshooting and resolution for innovative systems (AMR, G2P, P2G, etc).
• Provide mechanical, electrical and/or programming troubleshooting.
• Perform planned maintenance procedures as scheduled.
• Provide a small-scope mechanical installation depending upon the application.
• Participate in installation supervision, system controls and/or system programming procedures.
• Adhere to safety rules and PPE requirements.
• Contribute to R&D for innovative solutions.
