Werner Electric Supply, founded in 1948, seeks an Automation Specialist to support customers with expert product knowledge and optimal solutions. You will collaborate with internal teams, size components, and present bills of materials to drive project success.

The role involves travel in the assigned territory, maintaining CRM records, and delivering training to Sales and Customer Experience teams. A customer-facing background and continuous industry learning are essential.

Qualifikationen

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel regularly through assigned territory. Some overnight travel is required.
• Associate’s degree in Automation, Engineering, Computer Science or other related field; AND
• 1-3 years of relevant experience is required.
• 5 years’ of related experience required in lieu of a degree.
• Previous experience working directly with customers is required.
• Ability to stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements.

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain comprehensive product knowledge across platforms.
• Provide pre-sales support including review of customer project specifications and documents, preparing and presenting bills of materials, proof of concepts, performance tests, and properly sizing and recommending components.
• Provide post-sales support including assisting with customer technical product issues, implementation troubleshooting, product training, and escalation to vendors when necessary.
• Perform gap analysis to identify target customers for specific products and pursue opportunities.
• Utilize the CRM tool to log and manage customer opportunities, tasks, interactions, and responses.
• Collaborate with Account Managers, Business Consultants, and Solution Consultants in opportunity pursuits by defining best products for the solution architecture.
• Proactively facilitate and provide product-based training to internal teams including Sales and Customer Experience.
• Proactively provide customers information on new products and technology related to their industry and application needs.
• Analyze competitive product lines and communicate differentiators for customers.
• Deliver Werner billable services including: installed base evaluations, network assessments, drive startups, and vulnerability discovery surveys, field services, and technical training.
• Participate in trade shows and events.
