Job summary

Werner Electric Supply is seeking an Automation Specialist to support customers with expert product guidance and optimal solutions. You will collaborate with internal teams to tailor recommendations, conduct pre- and post-sales activities, and help drive successful project outcomes across multiple platforms.

The role emphasizes building product expertise, conducting trials, and delivering training, with opportunities to engage in field services and ongoing customer support.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel regularly through assigned territory.
• Associate’s degree in Automation, Engineering, Computer Science or other related field; AND 1-3 years of relevant experience is required.
• 5 years’ of related experience required in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive product knowledge across platforms.
• Provide pre-sales support including review of project specs, BOMs, proofs of concepts and properly sizing components.
• Provide post-sales support including troubleshooting, product training, and vendor escalation when needed.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and Solution Consultants to define best products for opportunities.
• Deliver Werner billable services such as assessments, field services, and training.
