Title: Automation Service Mechanic

Pay:$26.29
Schedule: 3rd Shift | 7:00 PM 5:30 AM | 4 days/week (10-hour shifts) | Rotating days off
Our client is seeking an experienced Automation Service Mechanic to support overnight operations by maintaining the integrity and performance of process equipment. This includes preventive maintenance, process optimization, repairs, and real-time service response. The Automation Service Mechanic will report to the Automation Supervisor/Superintendent and collaborate closely with operations to ensure maximum equipment uptime and safety.
Conduct preventive maintenance and repairs on automation equipment
Provide diagnostic support for electrical and mechanical faults
Work with CMMS to document activities and update equipment status
Support process improvements through hands-on problem-solving
Adjust and calibrate sensors, controllers, and switches
Ensure proper part usage and maintain inventory accuracy
Partner with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors
Follow and enforce safety protocols including PPE, LOTO, and fall protection
Experience working with up to 480V electrical systems
Ability to read wiring diagrams and electrical schematics
Skilled in mechanical repair and adjustment of industrial components
Working knowledge of PLCs and ability to diagnose and repair faults
Familiarity with CMMS systems and inventory tracking
Strong manual dexterity and ability to work in confined or elevated spaces (up to 80 ft)
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and tolerate varying temperatures (0°F90°F)
Must supply own hand tools (list provided upon onboarding)
Strong decision-making, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience in a food production or warehouse automation setting
Proficiency with diagnostic software and industrial control systems
Ability to adapt to new technologies and systems quickly
