Job summary

Applied Industrial Technologies, Inc. is seeking an Account Manager / Sales Engineer to grow the Greensboro/Winston-Salem/Roanoke territory. You will call on engineers, maintenance, and purchasing to identify needs via a consultative approach and expand new and existing business.

You will develop customer relationships, prepare quotations, negotiate terms, and organize training sessions while surveying market conditions and trends to meet sales goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience and success in developing new business, building repeat business, and managing a sales territory.
• Outside industrial sales experience with robotics, machine vision, motion control and/or IIoT is a plus.
• Familiarity with Process Engineering, Motion Control, Robotics, AI & Machine Vision Systems, Sensors & Connectivity, Automation Controllers.
• Mechanical and electrical aptitude, strong desire to succeed.
• Strong prioritization, planning, and time-management skills.
• Excel proficiency requested.

Responsibilities

• Conduct sales and service activities, develop strong customer relationships, identify product applications, and introduce new products and services.
• Achieve sales and profit goals by developing and retaining existing customers and by opening new business.
• Prepare quotations and proposals, follow up, negotiate terms, and close transactions.
• Organize training sessions for customers.
• Survey market and competitive conditions.
• Complete reports regarding itineraries, expenses, sales calls, leads, and other related matters.
