Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking an Automation & Robotics Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize automated equipment and robotic systems on the manufacturing floor. You will work closely with engineers, maintenance teams, and production staff to improve reliability and safety of production lines.

The role requires an associate degree or technical certification in mechatronics or related fields, plus 2+ years in manufacturing or automation.

Qualifications

Associate degree or technical certification in Mechatronics, Robotics, Industrial Automation, Electrical or Mechanical Technology (or equivalent experience).
2+ years experience in a manufacturing or automation environment.
Basic knowledge of industrial robotics, PLC systems, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, and maintain robotic systems and automated production equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections on robotic cells, conveyors, sensors, and automated machinery.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and control system issues.
Assist with programming, editing, and troubleshooting robotic, CNC, and PLC programs.
Support PLC troubleshooting, modifications, and I/O diagnostics.
Work with HMI interfaces to monitor and adjust system operations.
Support automation engineers with new equipment installations and system upgrades.
Participate in commissioning and startup of new robotic cells and automated systems.
Recommend improvements to increase reliability, efficiency, and safety.
Respond to automation-related downtime events and diagnose process issues.
Maintain documentation of repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities.
