Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline.
• Hands‑on experience with PLC programming (ladder, structured text, function block).
• Familiarity with HMI/SCADA development tools.
• Strong understanding of industrial communication networks (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus, OPC).
• Working knowledge of machine safety requirements and electrical codes.

Responsibilities

• Design & Development: Develop and modify PLC programs; update HMI interfaces; create electrical schematics and panel layouts.
• Vision Systems: Develop and support vision inspection applications; configure lighting and inspection tools; integrate with PLCs and robots.
• System Integration: Integrate new equipment into production; test machine sequences and safety logic; support commissioning and transfers.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support; perform root-cause analyses; maintain backups and version control.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate performance; support Lean/6 Sigma; implement enhancements for safety and productivity.
• Plant Standards Creation: Develop automation standards; establish naming conventions and documentation practices.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure designs meet NFPA/IEC/OSHA; validate safety functions; participate in risk assessments.
• Project Management: Lead automation projects end-to-end; coordinate with vendors; provide training and documentation.
