Job summary

GNS North America, Inc. seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to support a multi-plant facility.

Under minimal supervision, you will troubleshoot and repair robotic, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems within the stamping, laser cutting, and welding lines. The role requires experience with ABB robotics, motor drives, and measurement tools, plus the ability to read blueprints and work across shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance is expected.
• Good command of English (grammar and language).
• Good math skills are needed.
• Familiarity with machines and tools.
• Experience with robot pendants is preferred.
• Visual acuity for reading dials and quality inspections is required.
• Ability to use calipers and measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Install, mount, test, maintain, and remove electrical equipment and control panels.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems using meters and diagnostic tools.
• Repair ABB robotic equipment and servo motors as needed.
• Maintain mechanical and hydraulic components on industrial machinery.
• Read blueprints for conveyors, robots, and automation systems.
• Operate forklifts and other mobile equipment.
• Identify faulty operations and report issues to supervision.
• Maintain service records for robotic equipment and automated systems.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance checks.
• Assist and mentor lower-level technicians.
