Job summary
Amcor is seeking a maintenance automation specialist in North Carolina. This role focuses on troubleshooting and supporting automation systems, including PLCs, robotics, and related equipment, reporting to the Maintenance Manager.
Expect to split time around 80% on automation tasks while aiding the broader maintenance team. The ideal candidate will have strong PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley), robotics troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read electrical schematics.
Qualifications
- Strong PLC troubleshooting experience (Allen-Bradley is the primary PLC platform).
- Ability to troubleshoot and modify existing PLC programs.
- Experience with robotics troubleshooting.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read electrical schematics.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot PLC- and robotics-controlled equipment.
- Connect laptop to equipment to identify faults.
- Reload PLC and robotics programs when necessary.
- Make basic edits and minor modifications to existing PLC and robotics programs.
- Troubleshoot robotic faults and determine whether the issue is program related, requires a reset, or is a mechanical/electrical issue.
- Work with the maintenance team on general maintenance when needed.
