Job summary

Aegis Worldwide is seeking an Engineering Manager in Charlotte, NC to lead a multidisciplinary team of Mechanical, Electrical, and Controls Engineers. The role focuses on driving cradle-to-grave automation projects and continuous improvement in a high-impact environment.

You will mentor engineers, manage project delivery, and collaborate across PM, Manufacturing, Sales, and Service. The position offers a competitive base salary and full benefits with on-site work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering management or technical leadership experience.
• Strong background in industrial automation, robotics, or material handling.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Controls).
• Experience delivering cradle-to-grave automation projects (design to startup).
• Strong PLC-based controls knowledge; Allen-Bradley preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering; travel ~30%.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers.
• Oversee resources, priorities, workloads, and project deadlines across multiple customer projects.
• Drive projects from design through integration, testing, installation, commissioning, and startup.
• Partner with PM, Manufacturing, Sales, Applications, Supply Chain, Quality, and Service.
• Establish accountability around schedules, deliverables, and quality.
• Support engineers in resolving automation challenges and drive standardization.
