Responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on troubleshooting and support for PLCs, robots, motion control, and vision systems to minimize automation‑related downtime.
• Modify and optimize PLC logic, HMI screens, and robot programs to improve system performance, usability, and reliability.
• Support equipment upgrades, running changes, and control system updates with minimal impact to production.
• Lead root cause analysis for automation, throughput, and quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Partner with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to maintain documentation, training, safety compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related engineering field.
• 5–7 years of Controls or Automation Engineering experience in a high‑volume manufacturing environment (automotive BIW preferred).
• Strong PLC programming and troubleshooting experience (Rockwell, Siemens, or equivalent) and HMI/SCADA systems.
• Hands‑on experience with industrial robots (Fanuc preferred), motion control, safety PLCs, and fieldbus networks.
• Knowledge of IATF 16949, PFMEA, control plans, and ability to standardize and document controls processes.
