Job summary

Adecco is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a highly automated manufacturing engineering function. The role focuses on driving automation, electrical controls, and reliability across a complex production environment.

You will manage a multidisciplinary team, set strategic priorities, and oversee major capital projects from design through startup, ensuring best-in-class safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of progressive engineering experience in industrial manufacturing.
• 3+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success leading and developing engineering teams.
• Strong experience with industrial automation and controls.
• Knowledge of PLC, HMI, SCADA and/or DCS systems.
• Experience with industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, MCCs and VFDs.
• Experience leading capital projects and commissioning.
• Ability to lead at organizational and technical levels.
• Strong cross-functional leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team.
• Set engineering priorities and provide technical direction for manufacturing operations.
• Provide leadership for automation, controls, electrical systems and instrumentation.
• Oversee PLC, HMI, SCADA, DCS and industrial control architectures.
• Drive modernization initiatives across production equipment and systems.
• Lead capital projects from concept through startup.
• Ensure electrical distribution, MCCs, VFDs and plant instrumentation reliability.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance and Reliability to improve equipment performance.
• Lead complex technical problem solving and root-cause analysis.
• Review and approve engineering designs, drawings and documentation.
