Job summary

Knobelsdorff Electric Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator to support its Automation Division in Eagan, MN. The role coordinates projects from kickoff through completion, maintaining schedules, documentation, and resources to ensure on-time execution and customer satisfaction.

The successful candidate will assist Project Managers, manage project files, track budgets, and collaborate with vendors and clients. Onsite position with occasional travel and after-hours work may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of project coordination, construction, automation, or related experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience supporting project schedules, documentation, procurement, and vendor communication.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Procore and Viewpoint experience preferred.
• Degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of electrical, automation, or solar construction is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Project Managers and project teams to understand project scope, requirements, and objectives.
• Attend project meetings and document key action items, timelines, and deliverables.
• Review project contracts and assist with project startup activities.
• Create and maintain projects in Procore, Viewpoint, and other project management systems.
• Track permits, purchase orders, material orders, project schedules, and key milestones.
• Draft and process project documentation, including change requests and status updates.
• Maintain organized project files, drawings, records, and documentation.
• Assist with budget tracking, forecasting, and project performance reporting.
• Coordinate communication between internal teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
• Support procurement efforts by sourcing vendors and tracking materials and equipment.
