This remote contract role requires up to 75% travel across the United States, from design to startup, with hands-on exposure

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business administration, or a related field.
• 4+ years in: project engineering, process engineering, project management, manufacturing engineering, or similar leadership roles.
• Experience managing automation project budgets ranging from $500k to $50M.
• Experience designing/integrating automation solutions including material handling, automated fulfillment, high-speed packaging, and production lines.
• Strong CAD, Excel, Project, and Outlook skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology and systems integration projects from planning through implementation.
• Manage scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
• Collaborate with customers, equipment suppliers, contractors, and integration partners.
• Support design and implementation of automated material handling, packaging, and manufacturing systems.
• Oversee installation, commissioning, startup activities, and change-order management.
• Coordinate construction management, vendor management, and project execution.
• Develop and review automation layouts, equipment plans, and engineering documentation.
• Serve as a technical leader for complex industrial engineering and automation projects.
