Job summary

The Stow Company in Holland, MI is seeking a Process Technician to support and optimize our wood product manufacturing equipment. You will monitor controls, minimize downtime, and implement software changes across cutting, edge banding, routing, and drilling systems.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of technical experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to learn AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and PLC programming environments.

Qualifications

• 2–4 year technical degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• Strong leadership and communication skills required.
• Ability to learn AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical and programming environments.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust equipment controls to ensure optimal performance.
• Eliminate downtime by tracing problems to root cause and correcting them.
• Modify software for cutting, edge banding, routing, and drilling equipment.
• Lead problem solving for low voltage/controls on machinery.
• Adapt new products to existing manufacturing processes.
• Write and modify programs for manufacturing equipment.
• Support engineering in developing new processes.
• Construct test fixtures and upgrade equipment as needed.
• Occasionally work with vendors to procure equipment or software.
