Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technician and Controls Technician

Our client, a large privately-held firm in the Greater Grand Rapids area, is a leader in manufacturing residential and commercial products. They are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician and Controls Technician to join their team and make an immediate impact.

Responsibilities include:

• Advanced automation troubleshooting
• Gauge and instrumentation calibration
• Machine programming
• Working with PLCs and diagnosing problems
• Collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Maintenance to monitor equipment performance and optimize setups, calibrations, and alignments for maximum efficiency

Desired skills, education, and experience:

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or equivalent professional experience
• Ability to work on 3rd shift
• 2+ years of experience in automated manufacturing, preferably in metals manufacturing (machining, welding, heat treating, coating, etc.)
• Experience with robotic programming (Fanuc)
• Experience in high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments
• Ability to foster a culture of safety, collaboration, accountability, and trust
