Job Title: Manufacturing Engineering Technician and Controls Technician
Our client, a large privately-held firm in the Greater Grand Rapids area, is a leader in manufacturing residential and commercial products. They are seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician and Controls Technician to join their team and make an immediate impact.
Responsibilities include:
- Advanced automation troubleshooting
- Gauge and instrumentation calibration
- Machine programming
- Working with PLCs and diagnosing problems
- Collaborating with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Maintenance to monitor equipment performance and optimize setups, calibrations, and alignments for maximum efficiency
Desired skills, education, and experience:
- Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or equivalent professional experience
- Ability to work on 3rd shift
- 2+ years of experience in automated manufacturing, preferably in metals manufacturing (machining, welding, heat treating, coating, etc.)
- Experience with robotic programming (Fanuc)
- Experience in high-volume, high-mix manufacturing environments
- Ability to foster a culture of safety, collaboration, accountability, and trust
