Job summary

Applied Controls, a SunSource company, seeks an Automation Outside Sales Account Manager to grow the Scranton, PA area by expanding existing accounts and pursuing new business opportunities in industrial automation solutions. You will partner with OEMs and manufacturers to deliver engineering services, systems integration, and value-added offerings.

The role emphasizes consultative selling, strong relationship-building, and travel across the territory, with support from experienced application

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
• Three+ years of outside sales experience in industrial automation or related solutions.
• Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales in the assigned territory by expanding existing accounts and finding new opportunities.
• Build customer relationships and advise on automation products, engineered solutions, and services.
• Meet or exceed sales and gross profit objectives through consultative selling and territory management.
• Conduct account reviews and identify opportunities to expand product offerings.
• Collaborate with product specialists, inside sales, and supplier partners to close business.
