Job summary

Applied Controls, a SunSource company, is seeking an Automation Outside Sales Account Manager to grow business across Scranton, Williamsport, and Harrisburg, PA. You will partner with OEMs and manufacturers to deliver automation solutions that boost productivity, reliability, and safety.

The ideal candidate develops long-term customer relationships, identifies opportunities, and collaborates with engineers and suppliers to provide value-added offerings. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of outside sales in industrial automation or related field.
• Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to understand customer applications and recommend automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales and profitability in the assigned territory through existing accounts and new opportunities.
• Build customer relationships and act as trusted advisor for automation products and services.
• Meet or exceed sales objectives via consultative selling and territory management.
• Conduct account reviews and identify opportunities to expand offerings.
• Collaborate with internal teams and suppliers to develop solutions and close deals.
• Promote services, systems integration, and training to enhance customer success.
• Travel within territory; maintain accurate CRM records and forecasts.
