Job summary

Applied Controls, a SunSource company, is recruiting an Automation Outside Sales Account Manager for the Scranton, PA area including Williamsport and Harrisburg. You will grow accounts, propose automation solutions, and partner with engineers to deliver value-added services.

This field-based role requires travel across the territory, building lasting customer relationships, and achieving sales and gross profit targets with support from a collaborative sales team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; 3+ years outside sales in automation or related field.
• Proven ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales and profitability within assigned territory.
• Build strong customer relationships and act as trusted advisor for automation solutions.
• Achieve or exceed sales and gross profit objectives via consultative selling and territory management.
• Collaborate with product specialists, inside sales, and supplier partners to close business.
• Travel throughout the territory to visit customers and strengthen relationships.
