Job summary

SunSource seeks an Automation Outside Sales Account Manager to grow and develop business across PA's Scranton, Williamsport, and Harrisburg territory. You will partner with OEMs and manufacturers to deliver automation solutions that boost productivity, reliability, and safety.

This field-based role emphasizes consultative selling, building long-term customer relationships, and collaboration with product specialists to close opportunities. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of outside sales experience in industrial automation or related fields.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Knowledge of industrial automation products and applications.
• Proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with CRM systems.
• Ability to travel extensively within assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Grow sales and profitability within the assigned territory.
• Build strong customer relationships and advise on automation solutions.
• Meet or exceed sales and gross profit objectives.
• Conduct regular account reviews and identify expansion opportunities.
• Collaborate with product specialists and supplier partners to close business.
• Promote engineering services and training events.
• Develop and execute territory sales plans with competitive awareness.
• Maintain accurate CRM activity, pipeline, and forecasting.
• Participate in ongoing sales and product training.
• Travel across territory for customer visits and relationship building.
