Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. is hiring a maintenance technician to keep automated assembly lines running efficiently. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot PLC‑controlled equipment, and support shift operations per the production manager’s requests.

Responsibilities include installation validation, parts replacement, and coordinating with Control Engineers on improvement projects. The role requires a technical background with PLC experience and adherence to safety policies.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; trade or vocational school preferred.
One year certificate from a technical school or college in automation, or 3–5 years' related OJT; PLC troubleshooting required.
PLC troubleshooting experience is required and experience with plant automation is desired.

Responsibilities

Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of automation equipment during production and perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
Assist with installation, setup and validation of incoming automation equipment.
Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
Interface with PLC controls for troubleshooting and process optimization.
Work with Control Engineers on projects and process improvements.
Maintain spare parts inventory with proper cataloging and notify shift lead of downtime.
Follow West HSE programs, maintain 5S workspace, and support training of personnel.
