Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc. seeks a skilled maintenance technician to perform a wide variety of machinery maintenance, wiring and troubleshooting in electrical/control systems, and to perform PMs on drives and equipment to ensure safe operation.

You will document tasks, source parts, support Engineering, QA, Safety, and Facilities, and participate in CI and safety initiatives. Overtime, weekend availability, and teamwork are required.

Qualifications

• High School or GED; AS degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years progressive maintenance with leadership.
• FDA regulatory experience in facilities, maintenance or equipment repair.
• Experience in plastics or medical device manufacturing preferred.
• Experience with automation systems required.
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.

Responsibilities

• Identify and repair problems from schematics to ensure safe operation.
• Troubleshoot drives, PLCs, VFDs and control systems on equipment.
• Perform PMs on drives and control systems.
• Recommend improvements to plant equipment and processes.
• Assist in installation, validation, and replacement of systems.
• Train team members on controls and upgrades.
