Job summary

CLW Foods in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Mechanic AM to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on plant equipment and machines, ensuring product safety and quality. You will diagnose issues, replace parts, and support equipment uptime in a fast-paced food processing environment.

The role requires a High School diploma (technical training preferred), 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, and familiarity with PLCs, food-grade equipment, and GMPs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; college/technical education preferred.
• 3+ years experience in industrial machine maintenance.
• Experience with large food equipment repair.
• 3+ years working with PLC/Motor Controls/VFD knowledge (Allen Bradley/Siemens/GE Fanuc).

Responsibilities

• Meets plant objectives in safety, quality, cost and customer care.
• Provides technical support for troubleshooting / problem solving activities and maintenance repair to maximize efficiencies and limit downtime.
• Maintains and repairs all equipment in operation including pumps, motors, conveyors, and more.
• Troubleshoots PLCs.
• Respond quickly to service calls.
• Maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical issues.
• Reads technical manuals to understand equipment and controls.
• Performs tests and runs initial batches to ensure smooth operation.
• Cleans and lubricates equipment or machinery.
• Tests malfunctioning machinery to determine whether major repairs are needed.
• Preventative, predictive and scheduled maintenance.
• Floor visibility during machine run times
• Adherence to GMPs and safety.
• Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
