Job summary

Cretex Medical in Brooklyn Park, MN is offering an Automation Intern position focused on supporting automation projects and improving safety, cost, and quality. The internship is onsite, full-time (40 hours/week) in the Minneapolis/St.

Paul metro area. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a 2-4 year mechanical or controls engineering program, possess strong communication and problem-solving skills, and are proficient with SolidWorks and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a 2-4 year degree program for mechanical engineering or controls engineering with an emphasis on automation.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks/projects.
• Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide internal customer technical support.
• Utilize existing electrical and controls automation skills to enhance automation systems.
• Provide support on automation projects including design and implementation to assure projects are completed on schedule.
• Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements.
• Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work.
• Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.
