Cretex Medical offers an Automation Intern position located in Brooklyn Park, MN, onsite for 40 hours per week. The intern will support automation projects, assist with scope-to-implementation tasks, and ensure compliance with ISO and medical device requirements.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a 2-4 year degree in mechanical or controls engineering with automation focus, possess strong communication skills, and can multitask in a fast-paced team environment while using SolidWorks and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a 2-4 year degree program for mechanical engineering or controls engineering with an emphasis on automation.
• Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks/projects.
• Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Must be a self-starter, team player, and have a positive attitude.
• Ability to think creatively, drive results and stay focused on daily tasks.
• Proficient in Computer Design Tools such as SolidWorks.
• Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.

Responsibilities

• Provide internal customer technical support.
• Utilize existing electrical and controls automation skills to enhance automation systems.
• Provide support on automation projects including design and implementation to assure projects are completed on schedule.
• Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements.
• Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work.
• Partner with other business segments sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.
• Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve.
