Cretex Medical invites an Automation Intern to provide technical support on automation projects and assist with opportunities impacting safety, cost, and quality. The role is onsite in Brooklyn Park, MN, 40 hours per week, with opportunities to work across engineering and production teams.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a mechanical or controls engineering program focusing on automation, with strong communication and problem-solving skills, and proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a 2-4 year mechanical or controls engineering program with an automation focus.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter, team player with a positive attitude.
• Proficient in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Provide internal customer technical support.
• Utilize electrical and controls automation skills to enhance systems.
• Assist with design and implementation of automation projects to meet schedules.
• Support Quality System, ISO and medical device requirements.
• Read and follow work instructions and standard work.
• Collaborate with sales, marketing, customer service, engineering, quality and finance.
• Understand customer needs and core business markets.
