Placements24 is seeking a Field Service Technician specializing in automation systems to support Randburg-based clients. The role combines on-site installation, preventive maintenance, and remote administrative tasks, with a focus on minimizing downtime.

The ideal candidate has a technical qualification (N3/N4 in Electrical or Mechatronics) and at least 3 years of hands-on experience with industrial automation, PLCs, and motor drives.

Formación

• Technical qualification or equivalent trade experience.
• Minimum 3 years field service or installation experience.
• Proficiency with electrical controls, motor drives, and PLC systems.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally.

Responsabilidades

• Install, commission, and service automated machinery and control systems.
• Perform routine diagnostics and troubleshooting on electrical and PLC-based systems.
• Read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and PLC logic diagrams.
• Document service calls and manage company software.
• Maintain a company vehicle and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies.
• Collaborate with engineering for feedback on product performance.
