Placements24 seeks an experienced Industrial Electrician for a hands-on role in Randburg, Gauteng. The position focuses on installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical machinery, control panels, and power systems within a busy manufacturing facility.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in industrial electrical environments, strong diagnostic skills, and a solid safety mindset. Some coordination/administrative tasks may allow for hybrid work while on-site work remains primary.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Electrician (Wireman's License or equivalent).
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience as an Industrial Electrician in manufacturing/heavy industry.
• Experience with PLCs/industrial control systems and electrical troubleshooting.
• Ability to read schematics/technical drawings and interpret electrical diagrams.
• Knowledge of lockout/tagout and high/low voltage safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine electrical maintenance on industrial machinery, motors, control systems, and distribution equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults and malfunctions promptly and safely.
• Install, wire, and commission new electrical equipment per specs and safety standards.
• Manage preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Read schematics, blueprints, and manuals to guide work.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes and company safety policies.
• Work with high/low voltage systems including MCCs and VFDs.
• Respond to urgent electrical service requests during operations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and parts inventory.
• Promote a safety-conscious culture and adhere to highest safety standards.
