Job summary

Abbott Automation is seeking an Automation Technical Specialist for the Core Diagnostics division in the United States, a field-based remote role. You will provide technical leadership for automation hardware implementations in large clinical laboratories, coordinating with customers, project managers and field teams, and delivering advanced troubleshooting and training throughout the lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Minimum 4 years of automation systems experience.
• Experience resolving technical issues in customer-facing environments.
• Ability to independently execute complex technical projects.
• Ability to travel up to 100% and have airport access.

Responsibilities

• Lead onsite automation hardware implementations in large core clinical laboratories.
• Coordinate implementation projects with customers, project managers, and field teams.
• Resolve complex technical inquiries and provide advanced troubleshooting throughout the lifecycle.
• Deliver automation product training and technical guidance to field personnel.
• Support post-implementation escalations and compliance with quality systems and Abbott Conduct.
• Travel up to 100% across the United States supporting customer implementation projects.
