Job summary

Abbott Diagnostics Division is hiring a Manager, Technical Affairs for Lake Forest, IL (Conway Park) or remote near an Abbott office. You will provide technical leadership and customer support for ADD assays and systems with a primary focus on the Americas, bridging customers and internal teams to drive satisfaction and performance.

This role requires strong communication, diagnostics expertise, and the ability to travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelor's degree in science, medicine or engineering.
5–7 years in a related diagnostics quality/technical/operations discipline; or 15 years in equivalent diagnostic field.
Advanced degree (Ph.D.) preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead technical and scientific support for diagnostic assays and systems across key customer accounts.
Partner with Commercial, Quality, Service, Marketing, and Technical teams to address customer needs and resolve complex issues.
Build strong relationships with customers and key opinion leaders (KOLs).
Support customer-focused initiatives, strategic projects, and opportunities.
Provide technical expertise for tenders, customer requests, and performance discussions.
Gather and communicate customer feedback to drive product improvements.
Monitor KPIs and support continuous improvement efforts.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor for customer needs across the organization.
